"DANKE an mein Team und alle Beteiligten, die dafür gesorgt haben, dass es mit dem Guinness Weltrekord geklappt hat. Es war ein einzigartiges Erlebnis!" sagte Christian am Morgen danach.
"THANK YOU to my team and everyone involved who made sure that the Guinness World Record worked. It was a unique experience!" said Christian the morning after.

Zusammen mit Eckart Buss (HENRI), Nicoletta Plumm (Kitzbühel Tourismus), Christian Flühr ("Mister Ski-Weltrekord"), Susanne Grill (Hoteldirektorin HENRI) (v.l.n.r.) feierten Christians Team und den VIP-Gästen die Eröffnung und den neuen Weltrekord im Hotel Henri Kitzbühel bis tief in die Nacht.

Von Nicoletta Plumm (Kitzbühel Tourismus) gab es auf der Aftershowparty im Teamhotel Henri, in dem zeitgleich auch die Eröffnungsparty stattfand, auch noch die offizielle GAMS der Gamstadt für das Revers.

Nach der Urkundenübergabe waren dann alle Augen auf Tina Frey gerichtet, denn "Über'n Berg" die Hymne zu #KitzSkiWelt2025WR14 hatte Weltpremiere.

Gegen 21 Uhr war es denn endlich so weit: Aus dem Weltrekordversuch wurde ein offizieller Guinness-Weltrekord. Richard Stenning übergab die Urkunde an Christian Flühr.

In der Skylounge von KitzSki wird gerechnet und geprüft. Unter den strengen Augen des Schiedsrichters von Guinnes, Richard Stenning,wird jede einzelne Fahrt ganz genau unter die Lupe genommen und gecheckt. Lena Adler aus Christians Team und Martin Walch haben den ganzen Tagüber riesige Datenmengen gesammelt, damit der Weltrekord anerkannt werden kann.
Calculations and checks are carried out in the KitzSki Skylounge. Under the strict eyes of the Guinness referee, Richard Stenning, each individual run is examined and checked very closely. Lena Adler from Christian's team and Martin Walch have been collecting huge amounts of data all day so that the world record can be recognized.

Da ist die GAMS! Kurz nach dem letzten Abschwingen bekommt Christian die berühmte Auszeichnung im Streif Zielhaus, wo eine Woche zuvor noch die Hahnenkammsieger geehrt wurden, überreicht. Ob der rekord anerkannt wird, steht zu diesem Zeitpunkt noch nicht fest.

Zieleinlauf an der Streif. Christian Flühr auf den letzten Metern der 280 km langen Rekordjagd. Nach mehr als 22.222 Höhenmetern hat er es wieder einmal geschafft, einen weiteren Skiweltrekord aufzustellen.

Einige Pisten liegen in absoluter Dunkelheit. Glücklicherweise begleiten einige Skidoos den Weg und spenden Licht am Kitzbüheler Horn.

Keine Pausen.
Bei seinem Weltrekord ist Christian stundenlang auf den Ski, Zeit für eine Rast gibt es jedoch keine. Nur in der Gondel ist eine kurze Pause für ihn und die Skibegleiter möglich, während die Mitarbeiter vor Ort das Liftprotokoll ausfüllen.

During his world record, Christian is on his skis for hours, but there is no time for a break. Only in the gondola is it possible for him and the ski guides to take a short break while the staff on site fill out the lift protocol.

Alles muss ganz genau dokumentiert werden. Dies bezieht sich nicht nur auf die Lift- und Abfahrten, sondern auch auf die Taxifahrten zwischen den Skigebieten. Wichtig: die Verkehrsmittel müssen dabei alle öffentlich sein.

Der Start.
Pünktlich um vier Uhr startet Christian in seinen neuen Weltrekord. Es sind auch einige nichtskifahrende Freunde für eine letzte Umarmung und Jubel gekommen. Sogar ein kleines Ständchen von Bernie Paul gab es kurz vor dem Start noch.

Letzte Vorbereitungen.
Dank der Expertise im Team können am Vorabend des Weltrekordes noch die Skier der Wegbegleiter frisch gewachst und fit gemacht werden. Danach heißt es schnell ins Bett, morgen geht es früh los!

Nicht nur die Begleiter auf Skier konnten so mit aufs Bild, sondern auch Teammitglieder ohne Skiausrüstung waren beim Fototermin dabei.

Die Stimmung auf dem Weg zum Fototermin ist ausgelassen, von Nervosität bei Christian keine Spur. Er weiß, er kann sich zu 100% auf jedes Mitglied in seinem Team verlassen!

Es läuft nicht alles wie geplant.
Leider kam es aufgrund von Schicksalsschlägen und Krankheit zu einigen Ausfällen im Team; so musste auch die Pressesprecherin akut ins Krankenhaus. Glücklicherweise konnte Christian in seinem engen Netz aus Freunden schnell Ersatz finden und die Pressekonferenz am Vormittag kann stattfinden. Zum Mitschnitt der PK.
Not everything is going as planned.
Unfortunately, there were a few absences in the team due to strokes of fate and illness; also the press spokeswoman had to go into hospital. Fortunately, Christian was able to quickly find a replacement from his close network of friends and the press conference in the morning can take place.

Christians zweites Zuhause nennt sich nun Hotel Henri in Kitzbühel. Jede freie Minute wird im Schnee trainiert, Social Media gefüttert und letzte Kleinigkeiten für den Weltrekord geregelt.
Christian's second home is now called Hotel Henri in Kitzbühel. Every free minute is spent training in the snow, feeding social media and taking care of the last details for the world record.

Die Vorbereitungen für den Weltrekord laufen. Immer mehr begeisterte Helfer engagieren sich in Christians Projekt und sichern ihm ihre Unterstützung zu. Die Freude ist groß, als die Teamjacken ankommen!

Eine Idee entsteht ...
Bei KitzSki hat alles angefangen, bei KitzSki wird es rekordverdächtig!
Bei der KitzSkiWeltTour mit Tina Frey im März 2024 merkt Christian, wie viel Energie noch immer in ihm steckt und eine Idee formt sich in seinem Kopf. Was er erst für eine Schnapsidee hält findet in seinem Umfeld immer mehr Zuspruch und als sich auch das Skigebiet begeistert zeigt, ist es beschlossene Sache. Es wird einen neuen Weltrekord geben!
It all started at KitzSki, and at KitzSki it will be record-breaking! During the KitzSkiWeltTour with Tina Frey in March 2024, Christian realizes how much energy he still has and an idea forms in his head. What he initially thought was a crazy idea became more and more popular with those around him and when the ski resort was also enthusiastic, it was decided. There will be a new world record!
